Mango Cherry Protein Shake: A 5-Minute Recipe From Our Shelves

Mango cherry protein shake with frozen mango, cherries, protein powder, hemp hearts, almond milk and peanut butter

A protein shake doesn't need a long ingredient list. This one takes about five minutes, uses frozen fruit instead of ice so it comes out thick and cold, and every ingredient is on our shelves in Palm Beach Gardens.

Ingredients (makes 1 large shake)

Directions

  1. Pour the almond milk into the blender first. Liquid on the bottom helps the blades move.
  2. Add the protein powder, hemp hearts and peanut butter, if using.
  3. Add the frozen mango and cherries last.
  4. Blend for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth. If it's too thick, add a splash more almond milk.

The fruit adds natural sweetness with no added sugar. Per the Nutrition Facts panels, 1 cup of the Cadia frozen mango has 80 calories and 19 g of total sugars, and 1 cup of the Cadia frozen cherries has 90 calories and 18 g of total sugars, with 0 g added sugars in both. This recipe uses half a cup of each. Two tablespoons of the Cadia peanut butter add 8 g of protein. The protein in the finished shake depends mostly on your powder, so check the grams per scoop on the tub you choose.
