How to use
Sift a small scoop into a bowl, add a little hot (not boiling) water and whisk briskly until frothy for traditional thin tea, known as usucha. It also works in lattes and smoothies.
Good to know
- Matcha is made by grinding whole shade-grown green tea leaves into a powder, so you drink the entire leaf rather than steeping and discarding it. That is why it has a deeper color and a richer, slightly sweet, grassy flavor than bagged green tea.
- Keep the tin tightly closed in a cool, dark place, and use it within a few weeks of opening for the brightest color and flavor.
