How to use
Crush or chop the whole hips and simmer 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup of water for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain through a fine cloth to remove the small hairs inside. Rosehips also make lovely syrups and jams. They pair well with hibiscus and cinnamon.
Good to know
- Rosehips are the fruit left behind after rose flowers fade. Their flavor is tart and fruity, a bit like cranberry.
- Keep the container tightly closed in a cool, dry, dark cupboard, away from the stove, so the aroma and color last.
