NOW Foods Borage Oil 1000 mg softgels provide 1,000 mg of expeller-pressed borage seed oil, delivering 240 mg of GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) in each softgel. That makes borage one of the richest natural sources of GLA, ahead of evening primrose and black currant.
GLA is an omega-6 fatty acid the body uses to make compounds that help regulate the skin barrier and a normal inflammatory response. People often choose borage oil to support smooth, hydrated skin, comfortable joints and women's wellness. NOW lists it as non-GMO, kosher and gluten-free; the softgel is bovine gelatin.
This is the 120 softgel bottle. NOW suggests 1 softgel 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with food. If you take NSAIDs or a blood thinner, check with your doctor first.
