Frontier Co-op Hibiscus Petals, Whole, Organic are the dried whole flower petals of Hibiscus sabdariffa, grown in Egypt. Steeped, they make a vivid, ruby-red cup with a robust, tart flavor and a hint of cranberry. Hibiscus is naturally caffeine free and is a favorite for herbal tea blends, agua frescas, syrups and smoothies.

Suggested use: To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz of boiling water over 1 tsp of petals. Cover and steep 3–5 minutes, strain and serve. Also good in agua frescas, syrups and smoothies.

Caution: May contain peanut or shell fragments; hibiscus may be intercropped with peanuts.
