Frontier Co-op Wormwood Herb, Cut & Sifted is dried wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) from Bulgaria. Known as one of the bitterest herbs, wormwood gives vermouth its bitter flavor, and it has a long history as a bitter aromatic and in closet and drawer sachets.

Suggested use: For tea, Frontier suggests pouring 8 oz of boiling water over 1/2 tsp of herb, covering, steeping 5 to 10 minutes and straining.

Caution: Not for use if pregnant or nursing. Not for excessive or long-term use. Wormwood contains thujone, which is harmful in large amounts. Consult a healthcare practitioner if you have a medical condition or take medication. Keep out of reach of children.
