Dried ashwagandha roots and a cup of warm golden milk beside a journal and a sprig of greenery

By Linda Woolven and Ted Snider, The Natural Path

Because of its versatility and efficacy, ashwagandha is emerging as a mental health superherb. And now there is even more evidence.

A just published meta-analysis of 22 controlled studies of 1391 adults shows that ashwagandha significantly reduces stress, anxiety and depression.

The great herb also seems to help the people who need it most. The results suggested that ashwagandha’s benefit is felt most in people who actually have a clinical diagnosis.
